Metan Marine Restoration is holding an ongoing raffle to raise money for Autism Speaks and the League School of Greater Boston, located in Walpole, Massachusetts.

The prize is a fully restored 1960s 13' Boston Whaler including motor and trailer. The raffle drawing will be held once all 300 tickets are sold. Ticket price is $100. *150 Tickets Sold to Date!*

Metan owner and president Mike Borrelli and advertising director Pam Borrelli are the parents of an autistic child, 14-year-old Jito. They have seen firsthand how quality care, like the kind provided by the League School, where Jito is enrolled, can make a huge difference with autistic kids.

“Jito moved into the League School at the age of 11, and his experience there shows that every child can learn, grow and be happy in the appropriate environment with loving people,” says Pam. “Jito now has friends, and is thriving academically. He plays baseball on the school team, sings and plays trumpet in the school chorus, races competitively at F1 Boston, and goes to Pawtucket Red Sox and Providence Bruins games. Raising money for autism awareness and for Jito’s school—much needed since private funding has been drastically cut—is a passion for Michael and myself, and all of us at Metan. It's one of our ways to make working hard at Metan more meaningful.”

“I met Mike and Pam at the Newport Boat Show. I’m from Marblehead and have 9 year old twin boys. I checked out the show trailer and it definitely captures the spirit of what you guys do—we’ll be sure to watch for your reality show in 2012. I just wanted to thank you and your wife for the work you do to support those affected by autism. It’s the cumulatively contribution of people like you that will have a profound impact on the lives of our kids down the road.”

Best regards, Chris Baylow
